Message from Principal Gile

Welcome to Wolf Swamp Road School!

Our school has approximately 360 students in kindergarten through
5th grade. We offer one full-day kindergarten class and two half-day
kindergarten sections, and there are three sections in each grade level (1st
through 5th). We provide a variety of regular education and special
education programs to provide academic support, remediation, and/or
enrichment to students based on their individual learning needs. Our art,
physical education, library, and music programs (music, band, orchestra,
chorus) foster the development of the whole child and complement the
classroom curriculum.

The Wolf Swamp Road School is a community that believes children
are eager learners. We recognize that learning is a life–long endeavor that
transcends all ages. Through collaboration and meaningful dialogue, the
students, parents, teachers and community bring about a feeling of mutual
respect that fosters learning. Children and adults both share the need and
desire to be valued. All children are different and should be valued as
unique individuals. We will strive to cultivate that inherent eagerness by
establishing an educational setting that respects individual differences and
provides stimulating academics. It is our aim as a school community to
continue to assess our current practices and to make informed decisions that
support our students. All children are deserving of our best efforts.
We are fortunate to have a very supportive community. The PTA is a
reflection of the dedication our parents have in the Longmeadow community.
Through their support, we are able to provide our students with many
additional educational programs, such as after school programs and
technology-based programs to be utilized in school. In addition, they
provide the parents with a wealth of information. By visiting their website
